Danube is the love of music that has accompanied us for a long time. It’s the feeling of witnessing and experiencing something nice and unique. Sharing the same moments with friends, partners and artists across borders without any prejudices –Â

Our events are all about sharing thoughts, communicating with music lovers and listening to our favorite artists. We are proud to be part of a constantly evolving scene and support the cultural possibilities available in cities like Berlin. Unfortunately, the subculture we all know and love seems to lose more possibilities and places to express itself as at present clubs are dying and many institutions are struggling to survive. If you look at other cities in Europe, you might see where cities like Berlin could develop if nothing is done about it.Â
We would like to support projects that want to counteract this trend and create spaces that enable an exchange about different things. Therefore we are looking for like-minded people who like to support us and at the same time are open about new things. We want to create space for this subculture, which is being offered fewer and fewer opportunities to develop. We would like to bring people together and build on each other to create an exchange through the same passion. We are together in music.
The danube project was founded in 2019 with the aim of organizing electronic music events in various locations. The goal is to always guarantee a professional and detailed planning of the individual event. With an office at Berlin-Neuköllns Herrfurthplatz, right next to the recordstore 60Waves, we are working hard on creating the next journey.
We want to give something back to the culture that has made cities like Berlin special and diverse: Reinvesting in different formats, supporting younger talents, helping and facilitating. For us it’s really not about competing but all about assisting.Â
Our team consists of many different characters who have known each other since childhood. Together from Hannover our route to the capital city was often sought in order to be able to escape from daily life, due to the short distance.
Most of us moved here and have stayed ever since. Last but not least we really want to thank our many friends for supporting us at all times, we know that our work can’t be possible without your constant support.
Danube is the river that has its origin in Germany and this particular river flows through more countries than any other river on our planet. The Danube is the vein of an entire continent. For us it is the symbol of cultural exchange in Europe, it stands for international connections and for living together in cultural diversity. Our events should serve as a place exactly for this exchange and for this reason we invite international and national artists to play
Beyond our events we want to add more value to our society. By saying ”create spaces” we mean that we want to get like-minded people to get in touch with each other. We are amazed by how many organizations and institutions are aiming for the same goal which are also willing to contribute. Let’s work together and do everything we can to uphold our culture and make it interesting and accessible for as many people as possible. a key role in shaping the program of our events.
